We are building TripMate for the messy reality of shared travel.
TripMate started with a simple belief: planning a trip with other people should not require juggling maps, spreadsheets, chat threads, and expense apps just to stay organized.
Our point of view
Shared trips break when the planning is fragmented.
The old way is scattered
Routes live in one app, spending in another, and group coordination disappears into chat.
We focus on trips with moving parts
Road trips, family travel, and campervan journeys need more than a pretty itinerary.
Our goal is simple
Give small groups one place to plan, coordinate, and actually run the trip together.
Our Mission
To make shared road trips and campervan travel feel calmer, clearer, and easier to manage from day one.
Built around real friction
We care less about travel fantasy and more about solving the actual planning friction groups deal with.
Group-first thinking
We design for the organizer and the rest of the group, not just the person making a pretty itinerary.
Useful on the road
The product should stay helpful once the trip starts, not stop being useful after planning.
Our Story
TripMate began with a familiar problem: one person in the group always ends up managing everything. The route is in maps, the budget is in notes, the shopping list is somewhere in chat, and nobody is fully aligned.
We wanted to build something more practical than a generic itinerary tool. One place where small groups can plan stops, manage shared costs, organize shopping, and keep the trip moving without constant confusion.
That is why TripMate is becoming increasingly focused on shared travel by road, especially road trips, family trips, and campervan journeys. We are shaping the product around the kinds of trips where coordination matters as much as inspiration.
We are not trying to be everything for every traveler. We want to be genuinely useful for the people traveling together.
Why TripMate feels different
The product is shaped around operational travel, not just inspirational travel.
Planning plus execution
TripMate is meant to help both before the trip and while the trip is happening.
Focused product direction
We are intentionally narrowing toward road trips and campervan travel where the product has the clearest edge.
Designed for groups
Shared expenses, shopping, and coordination are built into the core story.
Strongest on the road
The product fits best when one route, one vehicle, and several people need to stay aligned.
Useful, not noisy
We aim for clarity over feature clutter so the product stays practical under travel pressure.
Shaped by feedback
We want the roadmap to follow real user pain, not just trends.
TripMate by the Numbers
Our journey so far
Who is building this
A small team trying to make shared travel less chaotic
We are building TripMate with a product mindset first: understand the friction, simplify the workflow, and make the tool feel reliable when people actually need it.
That means listening closely, narrowing focus when necessary, and improving the parts of the trip that usually create stress between people.
